8.2 Parish Council’s Street Lights
Clerk read out the following email:-
“2nd October 2017 Malcolm I have had some further talks with officers about your street lights and I think Clive Hall will be contacting you.
They want to go 50/50 on making them fit before taking them over. I have said I think the cost needs looking at first as it seemed excessive.
This is not dead but you might still be able to negotiate something acceptable.
It would be good if someone could come out and talk with you what it is they believe needs doing and how much cost is attached so you understand fully what could happen

Insurance Company contacted and is now covered for public liability but valuation is still required
Three Stonemasons approached, to date one has declined the work

“With reference to this application, on land which is part of a larger development although is owned by the same owner, already has planning permission for 89 houses subject to numerous conditions, not least with Welsh Water re drainage and supply commitments, the provision of a recreation field, an affordable housing allocation, an undertaking not to proceed in phases as this process has caused considerable distress and inconvenience with residents being subjected to years of disruption, noise, dust and associated construction work activity as well as a 106 Agreement all of which it would appear to have been disregarded.
Could you please advise the Parish Council whether if this new application was to be approved the previous 89 application would become void or not.
The Parish Council respectfully request an extension to their response time to enable them to canvass not only the local residents but the relevant utility companies for their responses.”
